PASS President along with other office bearers met with AG(Accountant General) Punjab about the deduction of 75% rebate from the salaries of SS/SSS. AG asked to see Mr. Shazad Iqbal Rana additional accountant general (pay roll) Punjab (PH#042-99211924) and PASS delegation met with the additional AG and discussed with them the burning issue of deduction of pay and stopping the 75% income tax rebate from the salaries of May 2010 paid in June. Additional AG Punjab declared we have not issued any type of instruction for such deduction from pay to any of the District Account Offices in the Punjab, So if it happened in any of the Districts then provide him the previous and present pay slips of the officers of the District concerned and orders of such exemption if any then i will be able to inquire the matters from the District accounts officers of the Punjab. PASS delegation met with the head of PIFRA.

On further inquiry president PASS found from the concerned quarters that all SS/SSS are MTP(Medium tax payer) and concern with CBR(central board of revenue ) and FBR(Federal board of revenue). Deducted income tax goes to FBR under the schedule of income tax ordinance 2009-2010 and "FBR has deleted all irrelevant entries from 75% rebate table" Now PASS thinks it is not the matter related to AG Punjab. It is a matter to be discussed with FBR(Islamabad). PASS is sending a delegation(comprising of presidents PASS Lahore,Jehlum, Rawalpindi Saeed Asghar, Shabir Butt, Javaid Iqbal Awan respectively and Vice principal H-8 Islamabad Madam Shahnaz Akhtar along with SS-SSS) to Islamabad for discussing the issue with the authorities of FBR if it is not solved in the favor of SS/SSS we will protest against such cruel/brutal act of FBR.

with the consultation of FBR delegation They have admitted that the deduction was made due to misunderstanding such like specialist doctors etc and the refund will be give on claiming in september But the negotiation is in progress for demand of claim on the basis as the deduction was made

Today 7-6-2010 delegation of PASS is also meeting with the representative of FBR to resolve the issue the finding of the meeting will be update after the End of meeting

The issue of deduction in salary has been solved

get a refund recovery farm and apply to income tax office (CBR)of your district and attach a return of income tax farm and then draw access detected income tax from the AG office(District Account Office). It is very important please apply for change in your account office along with certificate that we are teachers and entitle 75% rebate in income tax as we are permanent teachers in Education department and our department is a services rendered department.It is your for safety,so that account office may not again deduct your income tax in the next month or permanently for every month.

Asgher Saeed (0333-4136964), Shenaz Akhtar Vice principal GCET H/9 Islamabad and Dr. Noshaba Atta SSS GCET H/9 Islamabad held meeting with Mr. Sohil Ahmad Khan Chairman FBR Pakistan to resolve the issue and he directed Saeed-ur-Rehman Special Secretary to Chairman(vice chairman)to look in to the matter, After that Mr. Abdul Jalil chief administrator FBR house Islamabad to administer the matter so, Mr. Khalid Aziz Bnth domestic operation in north advised to Mr. Faheem ullah Khan Chief operation North to took an operation on the issue so, Mr. Muhammad Imtaiz Secratry (with holding Tax)notify the circular.
